This gallery has been created in tribute to Kalgidarh Maharaj, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Tenth Guru of the Sikhs and the founder of the Khalsa Panth.

The central series of paintings explores the events surrounding the evacuation of Anandpur Sahib, the separation of the Sahibzaade at the River Sirsa, and the sacrifices made by Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s four sons during one of the most defining periods in Sikh history.

I had the honour of designing 3 Stained glass windows for the Gurdwara. The main design being the central ‘Kalgi’, with the two others being identical, flipped designs representing the ‘Khanda’. The project was rather interesting to me as it was the first time that I’d ever designed such a feature. I drew inspiration from various worldwide designs, basing the core of the design from architecture found in Sri Harmandir Sahib and various Gurdwaras and Asthaans around India

I had the opportunity to design a few more elements for the Gurdwara. I provided the linework which was then used to cut out the designs onto MDF board using CNC Milling. From this, the pieces were painted white with a few having Gold foil applied onto them in varying amounts.
